Gina Horkey


Gina Horkey is a married, millennial mama from Minnesota. Additionally, she’s the founder of Horkey HandBook and loves helping others find or become a kickass virtual assistant. Gina’s background includes making a living as a professional writer, an online business marketing consultant and a decade of experience in the financial services industry.

Daryn Collier


As the CTO, Daryn actually started as a freelance writing course participant before joining Horkey HandBook in late 2016. In 2017 Daryn co-founded our VA Leads Community with Gina. Currently his primary roles include strategy, member support, SEO and content strategy. With 20+ years of small business experience, his passion lies in digital marketing, and working with other entrepreneurs.

Mickey Gast

Blog Manager

Mickey is the blog manager here at Horkey HandBook and an experienced content writer. She writes about productivity,  work engagement, learning, creativity, focus, and the startup world. Mickey spent eight years teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to adult learners in a corporate environment. The flexibility of working online allows Mickey to travel more, learn a few foreign languages and focus on building a platform for Business English learners.

Davi Horvath


Davi helps manage Horkey HandBook’s customer service and is an experienced Customer Success Specialist. She’s also an alum of both 30 Days or Less to VA Success and Email Management for VAs. Having a background in healthcare, technical support and working for SaaS companies, she’s  busy building her own VA business with a focus on customer service and administrative support for small business owners.

Brea Horton

VA Leads Community Manager

Brea is an alum of both 30 Days to VA Success and the Pinterest VA course. She helps manage our VA Leads Community and runs her own digital marketing agency, focusing on helping brands discover their highest potential through social media marketing. When she isn’t working (or scrolling through Facebook), you can often find her snuggling with her two Saint Bernards and her kitten, while listening to whatever podcast or audiobook has caught her attention that week.
